Chris McGillion was a senior journalist for 15 years before taking up his current position at Charles Sturt University (Bathurst, NSW). His research and publications focus on religious sociology and US-Latin American relations. He is also currently investigating the training of journalists in non-Western countries and has a particular interest in this process in Timor Leste.
